Training: Workshops 2008
SBIR/STTR Overview
This two-hour introductory workshop orients participant with the Tennessee
SBIR Proposal Assistance Center, as well as addresses specific
topics including the history and background of SBIR/STTR. Funding sources
for both programs are also addressed.
SBIR Proposal Writing Workshops
Taught by nationally recognized experts, these full-day courses provide
a unique depth and breadth of information regarding SBIR. The Phase
I Overview and Proposal Preparation session examines the purpose and
history of the SBIR/STTR programs as well as recent changes to each
initiative. Proposal strategy, preparation and critique are discussed
in detail with time permitted to discuss specific issues/questions
regarding proposal development from participants. The Phase II Proposal
Preparation session is for those who have already been successful with
Phase I and are ready to submit a Phase II proposal. In this session,
special attention is paid to the all-important commercialization aspect
of the Phase II plan and proposal.
Registration for these programs will open in late 2006. Enrollment
is limited to 25 participants per class. Cost is $150 and includes
all course materials, continental breakfast, and lunch.
